Explore Campus Life with Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)

Due to the safety guidelines put in place to safeguard against the spread of COVID many new students at FSU may find it difficult to find new friends or find a group that has similar interests and passions, especially when practically all classes are now virtually based. However, there are still many ways to go about finding new friends and getting involved in campus life at FSU, one of them being to get involved in an RSO!

There are over 750 Registered Student Organizations at FSU that fall in wide range of categories such as Multicultural, Student Government Affiliates, Greek life, recreation, etc. When it comes to finding a group with similar interests you will have more than you bargained for in terms of selections. All RSOs have their own meeting times, events, projects, and goals so it is important you look around to see which you connect with the best so you can find your group on campus.

For example, if you had a strong passion for wanting to live your life full of exploration and being surrounded by nature than the Adventure Club at FSU is where you need to look. The Adventure club is all about taking the scenic routes and enjoying every breath of it, for those who are tired of sitting on the couch all day scrolling through their phone and desire passion to be intertwined in their daily lives.

However, if your passion was finding a group to form a tight bond with over philanthropic causes  and other social events then you might be interested in one of the many Sororities or Fraternities apart of the Greek life on campus. These organizations help raise large sums of money for many charitable causes like Dance Marathon which all funds go to Children Miracle Network Hospitals or Relay for Life where all funds go to cancer patients and the research for treatments and cures for cancer.

No matter what your interests may be the NoleCentral FSU website has more than enough selections for you to find your niche. Make sure you make the most of your time at FSU by finding an RSO right for you at https://nolecentral.dsa.fsu.edu/
