Study Spaces at FSU

Are you looking for a space to study and complete your work? Florida State University provides study spaces that allow students to complete their work effectively. Whether it’s open spaces or individual rooms, students have many options for study spaces.

Below you will find four options that include spaces or environments for students to study effectively.

Strozier Library

Individual Study Rooms: Individual study rooms are located on the second floor of Strozier Library, and they do not require students to book or reserve a room beforehand. Students can check out keys at the circulation desk, and they have to be returned no later than four hours.

For group study rooms, students, faculty, and staff can make a reservation up to three days in advance for a maximum of two hours a day; however, anyone is welcome to use vacant rooms. To reserve these study spaces, students can visit the Florida State University Libraries website to choose a start time. The following study rooms include:

Group Study Rooms with Projector & White Board: Located in the Quiet Area on the third floor of Strozier library

Group Study Rooms with Wireless Displays: Located on the main floor of Strozier Library next to the Starbucks cafe

Group Study Rooms with Interactive Boards: Located in the Annex of the main floor of Strozier.

These study spaces can be reserved on the Florida State University Libraries website for up to four hours. However, students are limited to one booking per twenty-four hours because of high demand. The ACE center offers open spaces on the first two floors to study or complete their work without any noise restrictions. There are also nine study rooms that students can use for a maximum of two hours and reserve up to two weeks in advance. Students can log in to their MyFSU account and select the Campus Connect icon to reserve a study room. Students can also email tutor@fsu.edu to reserve a study room.

The Innovation Hub

The Innovation Hub is an on-campus and online community for innovation where students can learn new technology skills through workshops, innovation-related courses, online tutorials, consultations, and studio-style live streaming. This campus resource has at least twenty individual spaces to study or complete assignments. There are also three enclosed rooms that students can reserve online in advance.
